NIGHT OWL STUDIO - HOUSE POLICY
RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL
All staff are trained in RSA
A register and copy of staff RSA certificates is kept by management
Management support staff who practice and enforce RSA.
MINORS
Minors are not permitted entry to the premises unless accompanied by a responsible adult. The responsible person is to be a parent or legal guardian and not a friend over the age of 18 years.
Minors will not be served alcohol
Minors are not permitted to approach the bar area
Individuals procuring drinks for minors will be removed from the premises and may be referred to the WA Police.
All patrons are required to provide acceptable evidence of age where there is any doubt they are under 18
UNDULY INTOXICATED & DISORDERLY PATRONS
All staff are trained in identifying signs of undue intoxication
Unduly intoxicated patrons will not be served
Management support staff who do not serve unduly intoxicated patrons
Unduly Intoxicated patrons will be asked to leave the premises
A taxi can be called for unduly intoxicated patrons, to take them home safely
All staff actively monitor levels of undue intoxication of all patrons
Management seeks to meet its duty of care obligations to all patrons
SECURITY
If required for a particular event, Management only employs crowd controllers licensed under the Security Providers Act
A register and copy of current licenses of crowd controllers is kept by management
Crowd controllers will ask unduly intoxicated patrons to leave the premises if required
Crowd controllers will organize taxis for unduly intoxicated patrons to go home safely
All crowd controllers act respectful towards patrons at all times
Crowd controllers do not use excessive force in removing patrons.
STAFF TRAINING
Management encourages staff to be trained efficiently and effectively for their job.
Management ensure all staff are Responsible Service of Alcohol trained
All staff have signed off and agree to work according to this published House Policy
Regular staff meetings are held to ensure staff are kept informed of changes in the industry.
PROMOTIONS
Free liquor and multiple quantities of liquor are not promoted off the premises
Management will not heavily discount or offer free alcohol to encourage drinking for drinking's sake.
RESPONSIBLE HOSPITALITY PRACTICES
We provide free drinking water AT ALL TIMES to all patrons
We provide non-alcoholic and low-alcohol-content drinks
We encourage you to monitor and control your consumption of liquor
We will deter you from rapidly and excessively consuming liquor
We will supply liquor in standardized quantities that can be recognized by you
Drink quantities will be limited to 4 drinks per person in any single transaction, however this may be reduced at the discretion of management
We will not serve triple shots under any circumstances.
Shots/Shooters will be at the discretion of Management. If you are unsure at any time seek approval from the Approved Manager.
STAFF CONDUCT
All personnel representing Night Owl Studio are duty-bound to be respectful and considerate at all times towards guests, staff, and performing artists. Discrimination, bullying, aggressive, abusive or impolite behaviour will not be tolerated and if necessary any such behaviour will be reported to the relevant authorities.
PERFORMING ARTIST CONDUCT
Any and all artists engaged to perform at Night Owl Studio are to be respectful and considerate at all times towards guests, staff and other artists. Discrimination, bullying, and aggressive, abusive or impolite behaviour will not be tolerated. Offenders will be asked to leave the premises immediately, any performance contract will be immediately voided and if necessary any such behaviour will be reported to the relevant authorities.
GUEST AND TICKET HOLDER CONDUCT
By entering the premises all guests and ticket holders are expected to be respectful and considerate at all times towards guests, staff and other artists. Discrimination, bullying, and aggressive, abusive or impolite behaviour will not be tolerated. Offenders will be asked to leave the premises immediately and if necessary any such behaviour will be reported to the relevant authorities. Night Owl Studio staff are to be treated with respect and dignity at all times.
REFUSAL OF SERVICE
Night Owl Studio must refuse service to;
Minors or anyone we believe may provide alcohol to minors
Intoxicated, drug affected or disorderly patrons
Anyone deemed to be at risk to themselves or others
NIGHT OWL STUDIO is a safe, supportive and respectful environment. The Management supports diversity and tolerance. Discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated and any offenders will be permanently banned from the premises and any future events run by Night Owl Studio both on and off premises.
Night Owl Studio Event Space Code of Conduct
At Night Owl Studio, we are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all our attendees. We expect all participants, including guests, organizers, volunteers, and sponsors, to adhere to the following code of conduct:
Harassment-Free Zone:
We do not tolerate harassment in any form, including but not limited to verbal, physical, or online harassment. Harassment includes offensive comments, intimidation, unwelcome advances, stalking, and any other form of disrespectful behavior. If you feel harassed or witness someone else being harassed, please report it to the event staff immediately.
Inclusivity: Night Owl Studio is an inclusive space. Discrimination and exclusionary behavior will not be tolerated. Make an effort to be welcoming and inclusive to all participants.
Consent: Always obtain explicit consent before engaging in physical contact or taking photographs or videos of individuals. Respect their boundaries and wishes.
Alcohol and Substance Use: If you are attending a show where the Night Owl Studio Bar is in service - no BYO is allowed, please drink responsibly. Do not bring illegal substances to the event space. Any excessive or irresponsible consumption of alcohol or other substances may result in removal from the event.
Respect the Space: Help us maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of Night Owl Studio. Dispose of trash properly and report any damage or issues to event staff. Please do not touch the LED screen or lean any equipment against the screen
Safety: In case of an emergency, follow the instructions provided by event staff or venue personnel. Familiarize yourself with the nearest exits and emergency procedures.
Report Violations: If you witness or experience a violation of this code of conduct, please report it immediately to event staff or organizers. Your concerns will be taken seriously, and appropriate actions will be taken.
Consequences: Violations of this code of conduct may result in warnings, expulsion from the event without a refund, and, in extreme cases, banning from future Night Owl Studio events.
Be Mindful of Noise: Be aware of your noise level and considerate of others who may be working or resting nearby. All music is to be off by 11.30pm.
By attending an event at Night Owl Studio, you agree to abide by this code of conduct. We reserve the right to update and modify this code of conduct as needed to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all patrons.
